Global West offers performance strut rod bushings for 1964, 1965, and 1966 Mustangs.
The Global West Advantage:
There are three distinct differences between choosing a standard rubber strut rod bushing and a performance unit.
First: The hardness of the rubber is higher on the performance unit than the standard. This means less deflection under loads, thus resulting in better straight line stability during braking and less wander based on road irregularities. The alignment will hold better reducing tire wear.
Second: The rubber bushing has a steel washer molded into it providing a flat surface for the rubber to compress against.
Third: The bushing has a steel sleeve that indexes the bushing in the center of frame mount.
The stock bushings generally do not have any provisions like that at all. Performance strut rods bushing are a must for any standard rebuild.
