Mustang Rear Adjustable Upper Control Arm Kit for 1979-2004 # TBF-94 (Sold as a Pair)
Global West Suspension manufactures adjustable rear tubular upper control arms for the Mustang (model years-- 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004).
The Global West Advantage: Product Information
The adjustable arm provides pinion angle adjustment without removing the arms from the car. A spherical bearing is incorporated into the arm design that attaches to the uni-body. The bearing allows the arm to pivot as the suspension moves without transmitting twisting loads into the uni-body causing damage to the upper uni-body mounts. This design is best used for high performance street, road race, and drag racing applications.
On the rear end side of the control arm, Global West recommends using a rubber bushing rather than polyurethane for most performance street applications. Polyurethane tends to resist movement needed in the rear suspension for cornering. Drag racing is another story.
Global West also offers a bearing kit for the differential side of the control arm. This is recommended for mostly racing applications; however, many hard core street enthusiasts use this kit as well. This kit is used for road racing, drag racing, and autocross. Kit number SP-56.
