The Global West Advantage:TBC-94 Product Information:
The Global West rear adjustable control arm for 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, and 1964 Impalas make setting the pinion angle easy. The pinion angle is easily set by loosening the jam nuts on the hex adjuster and turning the adjuster in or out, depending on the desired angle required. The arm does not have to be unbolted; all is done on the car.
This particular arm has two high misalignment spherical bearings built in. The bearings allow the rear end to move without bind and without deflection, which is typically associated with bushings. The design transfers load faster and controls pinion angle. This particular upper arm is mainly used for street and drag racing. Low riders also use the upper arm because both bearings pivot allowing extreme ride height change without resistance.
The bearings are Teflon lined so lubrication is not required. The arm is powder coated black and is shipped assembled.
TBC-99 Product InformationImpala owners using a Ford nine inch rear end will need an adjustable upper control arm. Installing the Ford nine inch will require a pinion angle reset. Global West has designed a unique rear adjustable upper control arm for 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, and 1964 Impalas that makes setting pinion angle a breeze.
The upper arm, sometimes called the banana arm, replaces the factory unit and adjusts by rotating the internal adjuster with a wrench. The internal adjuster, located on the frame side of the arm, changes the length of the arm in or out depending on your rotation. Once you have set the pinion angle, simply tighten down the jam nuts and you are set.
The internal adjuster features 2 locking set screws and has a lubrication fitting for grease.
