S-10 Pickup and Blazer 2WD Drag Race Lower Control Arms #TLC-22L
Global West Suspension manufactures drag race lower control arms for S-10 and 2WD Blazer trucks (model years 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002).
The arms are built able to support repeated wheel stands. Machined out of 1 5/8 x .125 DOM material, CNC mandrel bent and CNC machined for a precise fit. Close tolerances are maintained all through the build process that assures proper fit on your vehicle. A spring pocket with a rotating spring cushion is utilized for proper spring index even if the spring is trimmed. In addition, all the arms are welded in a jig fixture. Tig and Mig welding processes are used depending on the location of the weld on the control arm. Note: These drag race lower control arms do not have sway bar attachments installed.
The arms are powder coated black; assembled with low friction ball joints, special low friction bushings from Global West and shipped pre-assembled.
Viking, Koni, and QA-1 shocks are commonly used and bolt directly on. Global West also carries all the mentioned brands in stock with a complete suspension front package.
There are no modifications to the frame.
Note: Many people cut the coil spring to obtain a desired ride height. When you cut the spring, the spring will no longer line up in the lower arm or upper frame mount. In some cases, this may cause the spring rub on the edge of the pocket. Global West designed spring cushions to solve the rubbing issue. Rotating the cushion provides a way to re-index the spring.
Ride height adjustments can be made by shimming under the spring pocket. Global West manufactures different spring spacers for adjusting ride height for these control arms.
