Small Block Extended Travel Coilover Kits with QA-1 Shocks part# COF-79SDQ
**Global West Suspensions does not recommend using any OEM lower control arm, not designed for coilover applications. We highly recommend using our control arms for coilover applications. Our lower control arms are designed and reinforced specifically to handle the load of a coilover.** If you are planning on lowering your car more than 1 1/4 inches and want to step into the pro-touring arena, you need to install an extended travel front end kit from Global West. Extended travel coilover (big block) front suspension kits are available for the 1967, 1968 and 1969 Camaro. This particular kit includes QA-1 (double adjustable) shocks, Eibach springs, thrust bearings, spanner wrench, right and left upper shock frame mounts, and hardware. Global West Tech Tip: As coilover suspension grows in popularity and ride heights get lower, suspension travel is becoming more limited. Dropped spindles lower the car down but reduce the amount of back space you can use on the rim. This makes for less tire on the front end, unless you step up to a 18 inch or larger rim. Why is a dropped spindle an issue? The inside of the rim hits the tie rod end because a dropped spindle raises the spindle pin up in the spindle. The steering knuckle arm attached to the tie rod stays in the stock location. The Global West Advantage:You need more travel You can use conventional coilover shocks that plug into the stock frame using a conical wound spring; however, you will run out of travel if you get into a 2 inch drop scenario and you drive aggressively. That is why COF-79SDQ was designed; it allows for extended travel.
