Steel Tubular Tie Rod Adjusting Sleeves Part #ADJ-2
Need tubular tie rod adjusting sleeves from Global West Suspension for a 1967, 1968, or 1969 Camaro? Why do you need tubular sleeves: Tubular sleeves are used for performance applications as well as direct replacement. Over time factory sleeves tend to loosen at the clamp, which causes looseness in the steering and changes the alignment toe setting. If the car is used in a racing application it is always a good idea to use a tubular sleeve for greater thread engagement. The Global West Advantage: Global West Suspension tie rods provide a 360 degree, full-thread engagement around the inner and outer tie rod threads (dimensions: 5/8 X 18 RH, 5/8 X 18 LH threads length 5 3/8 ), which are locked in position with jam nuts. When tightened, the jam nuts stop the sleeve from rotating. Just remember to use an open-end wrench to turn the sleeve for adjustments. Unlike the factory sleeves, Global West Camaro tie rods require no special tools to adjust them. They won't come loose when tightened correctly and they help prevent any dirt or water from collecting in the thread which can impair adjustments.Tubular sleeves engage along the entire sleeve giving the best holding ability and reducing any chance of thread slippage. Benefits of choosing Global West tubular tie rod sleeves: -Strength -Easy adjustment -No special tools required -Longevity -Steel construction Dimensions: 5/8 X 18 RH, 5/18 LH Threads
