TBC-14 QUITE RIDE TUBULAR REAR CONTROL ARMS
- Remove the lower control arms from the vehicle. A shop manual maybe
helpful for assistance in this regard.
- Your new lower control arms have a spherical bearing in one end of
the arm. This end attaches to the REAR END, each bearing will have 2
steel spacers located one on each side of the spherical bearing. The
other end has a rubber bushing in it. Slide the end of the control arm
with the rubber bushing up into the unibody. Use the factory bolts.
Do not torque the bolt just yet.
- Next slip the spherical bearing end up into the rear end bracket.
Slide the factory bolt through the assembly and torque the rear end bolt
to 70 foot pounds.
- After both rear control arms are installed. Lower the car down on
the ground or support the rear end so the weight of the vehicle is
resting on the rear end. Now torque both bolts on the unibody to 70 foot
pounds (rubber side of the control arm).
