(Small block or Big block)
This application lowers the ride height and increases the ride
stiffness slightly. Front geometry is changed and rear suspension management is
introduced.
Stage Two leans more towards performance street. It is not
considered aggressive because of the spring rates. However, Stage Two is no
slouch. Stage Two is the first stage that uses our tubular upper control arm kit
CTA-79. The upper control arm provides dramatic changes to the front geometry
creating increased straight line stability, quicker corner response, and reduced
toe change over bumps.
- Provides straight-line stability and over all drive-ability.
- Dramatically changes concerning corner entry response.
- Controls alignment
- Improves tire wear.
- Capable of significant faster cornering speeds versus stock.
- Reduces nose-dive during braking.
- Improves rear axle control through leaf spring design and bushing system.
- Ride height is lowered approximately 1-inch.
Parts List with Part #:
- Tubular upper control arm kit fully loaded with Del-a-lum upper control arm bushings and
our new
billet cross- shafts. Part # CTA-79A
- Del-a-lum lower control arm suspension bushings. Lower kit part # 1013.
- Front sway bar use part # SB-136 (1- inch diameter).
- Tubular Tie Rod adjusting sleeves Part # ADJ-2.
- S-2 front springs (S-2 fits small blocks and lowers the front end
approximately 1-inch) or S-3 spring is for a big block. (S-3 lowers the front end approximately 1-inch).
Note S-41 is for 67-9 Firebirds only and lowers the front end approximately
1-inch.
- QA-1 adjustable shocks Part # TC-1914P or Koni front shocks Part # 80-1914.
Both shocks are adjustable.
- Option (Fast ratio steering box).
- Del-a-lum rear leaf spring bushings and shackle kit part # 103SH.
- QA-1 or Koni adjustable rear shocks (specify mono or multi).
Rear Koni shocks Part # 80-1953 (stud type) or 80-1915 (1/2 inch bolt type).
QA-1 shocks Part # TC-1953P (mono leaf) Part # TC-1915P (multi leaf).
- Rear springs (Part # L-16 or L-2).Part # L-16 rear multi leaf springs.
We do not offer mono leaf replacements for 1967-69 Camaro/Firebirds. L-16 is a improvement over mono leaf
springs however it will not control
rear spring rap up (tramp) associated with high horsepower cars. High horsepower cars should use
part # L-2. Part # L-2 is slightly stiffer than an L-16 and has a different leaf
configuration designed to control spring rap up. If you intend on upgrading to a more
aggressive stage, I would wait till the next step before installing rear springs.
If you plan to drag race on the street, L-2 would be my choice
now. Ride height for the L-16 is slightly lower then stock. L-2
lowers the car 1-1/4 inches.
- Option ( Part # 1038 conversion kit). Possible kit # 1038. (1038 is a hardware pack that converts mono leaf spring cars over
to multi leaf. If your car already has a multi leaf spring. You will not need a 1038 kit).
