Upper Control Arms
|
G-Plus control arms are designed
for performance street,
however cars crossing over into drag racing or road racing are also utilizing
this application.
G-PLUS arms use stock or 2 inch drop spindles. They can also be used with ATS spindles. The arms have additional
caster built into the them and a improved camber curve. The combination keeps
the tire flatter on the pavement. A bump stop is installed on the
control arm eliminating the stock one on the frame. The new bump stop location
allows for a limiter, which can be installed for drag race applications. The
arms are shipped assembled with billet
cross shafts, ball joints, Del-a-lum bushings (standard), and bump stops.
New alignment specifications are included.
G-Plus control arms are offered with Del-a-lum bushings or polyurethane.

Tubular Lower Control Arms for coilover shock and spring applications.
To the
left is a
CTA-42H. The arm is
designed for converting your vehicle over to a
coilover application. Coilover is where the spring rests on the shock.
The shock body (below on the right) is threaded and has an adjustable collar that rotates
around the body. Special springs are also used. Coilover shocks and
springs give you an added
benefit of adjustable ride height. No frame modifications are required.
The lower arms are specifically designed for supporting vehicle load
through the shock. Afco, and QA-1 shocks will bolt directly to the lower control
arms. Note: Coilover lower arms will not support using a standard coil spring. The spring is conical and installs in the frame just like the factory unit. The shock goes through the spring and bolts on the top of the control arm rather than from the bottom and the shock shaft bolts to the frame. There are two different lower arms available, the difference is what bushings are used Del-a-lum or polyurethane. They are shipped fully assembled with ball joints, bump stops, sway bar end links and bushings.
Tech Tip: You should always check the factory lower arm at the ball joint location for cracks and tears. Over the years it is not uncommon to see damage in this area.
