Rear Multi Leaf Springs: (only)

We use multi-leaf springs over mono leaf springs because we have more control over the rear end during acceleration Mono leafs tend to wheel tramp with high horse power cars during hard acceleration. Traction bars and other devices can be added which can eliminate the problem for straight-line applications, however the down side is loss of ground clearance. On a dedicated drag car this is not a problem, but on the street it can be. Our multi leaf spring design controls rear wheel tramp through the multiple leaf configuration. The combination of shocks, bushings, and rear leaf spring can do wanders for street applications. Rear leaf Part # L-9 lowers the rear end approximately 1-1/4 inches. The cost per pair $373.73.

In order to install multi-leaf springs on your car you will need an additional kit Part # 1036 (picture on the right). A 1036 kit gives you upper spring pads, aluminum spacers, bolts and related hardware. The kit also features a centering dowel for leaf spring positioning.

Rear Bushings and Shackle Kit: (Del-a-lum Bushings)
Our multi-leaf springs require using our Del-a-lum bushing kit or a polyurethane kit for 67-69 Camaro's. A standard polyurethane or rubber replacement kit for the Nova will not work.  We recommend our Part # 104-SH Del-a-lum bushing kit because of the control over lateral deflection we get from using them. The bushings are excellent for street and drag racing. Del-a-lum bushings press into the leaf spring eyes and into the frame. The forward spring mounts will require welding 2 small plates (supplied in the kit) in order to convert over to our Del-a-lum bushings or a Camaro polyurethane kit. It is well worth the conversion considering the odd design used on the stock front spring mount.

The Del-a-lum bushing kit is featured to the right. You will notice the plates and hardware are furnished for the conversion.

Part # 104SH ---- Cost $213.92 -- one kit per car. Note : Del-a-lum bushings can be lubricated through grease fittings and carry a warranty.
